Camp Glen Arden is a private sleepaway summer camp for girls located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, near Tuxedo/Zirconia.


It was established in 1951 and focuses on providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where girls can grow physically, mentally, and spiritually, often removed from the distractions of technology and social media.

Key Features:
* Ages/Sessions: Serves girls from 1st through 11th grades, offering 2, 3, and 4-week sessions.
* Focus: Emphasizes character development, self-reliance, and fostering lifelong friendships and a love of nature.
* Activities: Offers a wide variety of activities, including horseback riding, swimming (in an Olympic-sized pool), canoeing/kayaking, rock climbing, archery, performing arts, pottery, and various land sports like tennis and soccer. It uses a Progression System to allow campers to master skills at their own pace.
* Traditions: Notable traditions include a long-standing Red and Blue team competition and the use of tartan ties assigned on the first night of camp.

The camp is nestled among the rhododendron and evergreens and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
